The JEE Advanced exam
is primarily designed to give admissions in IITs, and all IITs are considered
best places for the study of engineering streams in India. Some IITs are so
well recognized and they are placed among the top 200 best universities of the
world in the famous QS World University Ranking of 2019. These include IIT
Bombay, IIT Delhi and IISc Bangalore. The JEE Advanced 2020 exam will be
conducted on 17th May 2020 by IIT Delhi.
JEE Advanced is an
engineering entrance examination, considered one of the most challenging
entrance exams in the world. It is conducted by IITs, under the supervision of
the Joint Admission Board. Clearing JEE Advanced exam gives admissions in
undergraduate programmes, integrated masters programme of all participating
IITs. The IITs are famous in the whole world for their excellence. To appear in
the JEE Advanced exam, one must clear the JEE Main which is being conducted by
the National Testing Agency(NTA). Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Indian
Institute of Technology Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and
Indian Institute of Technology Madras are some of the top engineering IIT colleges
that give admission to students on the basis of JEE Advanced exam scores.
Apart from the IITs,
there are some other engineering colleges that give admission on the basis of
the JEE Advanced exam. These include some of the top engineering colleges of India
namely, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, Indian Institutes of
Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, Indian Institutes of Science
Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum
Technology (RGIPT) Rae Bareli etc.
