GATE Recruitment 2020 Notification - PSU through GATE 2020 Recruitment, Eligibility Criteria & more!


Public Sector Undertakings or PSUs are corporations owned by the government which recruits applicants annually. Each government corporations commence their PSU recruitment process through GATE after the GATE registration process which for GATE 2020 was August 31, 2019. Eligibility criteria for each PSU are different from the other for GATE Recruitment. Applicants can apply for vacancies listed out for PSU recruitment through GATE  2020.  To be shortlisted for the job in the PSU, the GATE exam score will be considered for direct recruitment in some companies, whereas some do conduct additional group discussions, tests, and interviews. GATE exam requires a cutoff to pass the exam but the score required for the GATE recruitment is announced by each company individually and it is not necessary that the GATE scores will be valid for three years in PSU recruitment as some accept current year score while some accept previous year scores. 

Eligibility Criteria - PSU Recruitment through GATE 2020
The PSU Recruitment through GATE 2020 eligibility criteria is different for each PSU which is set by its authorities. Applicants are advised to thoroughly go through the criteria of the PSU they are interested in. The major criteria for PSU recruitment are possessing a valid GATE score, some PSUs might specify some other requirements to be met by the applicants such as pass percentage of CGPA during graduation & more will be required by certain PSUs.

For GATE recruitment in India, PSUs are of three different types which are classified on parameters such as annual revenue, Indian Stock Exchange, global presence and income generated.
Maharatna PSUs (SAIL, GAIL, BHEL, IOCL & more)
Navratna PSUs (BEL, Power Grid, Oil Indian Limited & more)
Mini-Ratna PSUs (PEC Limited, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, THDC India Limited and more)
